Four Legs Records is for artists that above all else, expect results.
In an ordinary studio, you may end up with a clean recording done on analog equipment. At Four Legs Records, we understand that the standard recording process is rarely bold enough to produce Top 40 quality results. More important than any piece of equipment is the ear and the know-how of the engineer behind the sound.
What you get by recording with us is an astoundingly professional sound as a result of a talented engineer with experience, an exceptional ear, and enough clever tricks up his sleeve to make any artist sound like they're a chart-topper.
Bands
Four Legs Records specializes in tight, punchy full-band mixes. We can record a whole band at once, or individually track when preferable or necessary. Either way, your mix will be professional, and your band will sound absolutely huge!
A Cappella
We have won CARA and BOCA recognition for our work on competitive A Cappella. We can individually or multi-track an entire group. We can bring out the subtle nuances of the human voice, or we can smash a mix and make voices sound like the instruments in a band.
Site Recordings
We are skilled at producing highly-polished site recordings. Whether you are a solo performer or a full band; we can come to you, set up some sound treatment, record on-site, and put out a product that sounds like it was done in a full studio.
Flat Rates
No per-hour rates for recording and initial mixing. No more feeling pressured to get that perfect take. We set up a flat production rate before hand, and do whatever needs to be done to get the perfect product.
About Our Lead Engineer
Lead Engineer Steven J Goldman is a master at taking any type of performance and making it sound like a big-budget production. He officially founded Four Legs Records in 2009 after six years of mixing experience. He is a skilled guitarist, bassist, vocalist, and songwriter. His work has garnered some local and even national attention.
Steven has a performance and composition background in Hard Rock and Metal, and considers these genres to be his specialty. He is very skilled at coaxing the raw power and clarity out of a mix that this kind of heavier music requires, and this mix clarity translates into other music genres.
Steven takes pride in every aspect of his mixes. Every element comes out clearly and with individual character. One of the distinguishing features of Steven's mixes is the punch of the drums. Very few engineers, from studios small or large, can match how big his drums sound, among other things.
